Brander Park

Brander Park is a much-loved community park in Bloubergrant, Cape Town. It is sometimes referred to as Brander Street Park or Bloubergrant Park. Brander means wave in Afrikaans. Bordered by Foam Road, Dolphin Drive and Brander Avenue, its proximity to the nearby Blouberg Beachfront should come as no surprise.

Brander Park is a place where everybody is welcome. Residents and guests enjoy the beautiful open space to relax, play, exercise or simply meet their friends and neighbours.

A children’s play area, five distinct gardens and two basketball courts add to the attraction and multi-functional use of Brander Park. It is also a popular space for people to walk their dogs. Poop scooping is mandatory, of course. Bags and bins are provided in different locations.

The upkeep of the park is partially funded by private donations and the Municipality.
